Amending or renewing migrated registrations

2 “Unknown” collateral class If the collateral class is “unknown” the registration cannot be amended or renewed. Examples of collateral class are motor vehicle, watercraft, “all present and after acquired property”, “all present and after acquired property, except”.

4 No date of birth recorded for an individual grantor If there is no date of birth recorded for an individual grantor in a registration, the registration can be amended and renewed.

It is possible to add a new grantor to the registration (which includes the date of birth details of the grantor) and remove the grantor that does not have the grantor’s date of birth.

The PMSI indicator is unknown

If the PMSI indicator is unknown, the registration can be amended and renewed. However, the PSMI indicator cannot be changed on any registration (including registrations that were not migrated).

To change the PMSI indication on a registration, it is necessary to create a new registration and discharge the original registration. All registers (because PMSI is a new concept that has been introduced by the PPSR).
6 Whether proceeds are to be claimed is unknown If proceeds are unknown, the registration can be amended and renewed. The proceeds indicator and description can be amended.  
7 Migrated attachments

If a registration has migrated attachments, the registration can be amended and renewed.

However, if the attachment contains additional data from the migrating register about the interest, it cannot be removed.

Migrated attachments that are documents attached to the interest when it was registered on the migrating register cannot be removed.

8 Migrated SPGs cannot be amended. Migrated SPGs cannot be amended. Use the ‘find and claim’ process to assign the migrated registration to a target SPG that has been created by the secured party in the PPSR and which can be amended. All registers.
